Overview

Sythe is a platform that helps fitness coaches automate and qualify leads through Instagram direct messages. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

• Instagram profile information: username and user ID of people who message or comment on connected accounts
• Message content: text from direct messages sent to connected Instagram accounts
• Contact information voluntarily shared during conversation: email address, phone number, and age
• Fitness and lifestyle information shared during intake: current routine, goals, and budget range
• Engagement data: timestamps, message history, and lead qualification scores

How We Use Your Information

• To facilitate lead qualification conversations on behalf of fitness coaches
• To score and prioritize leads for coach follow-up
• To populate a client dashboard visible only to the connected coach
• To improve conversation quality and response accuracy

Instagram Platform Data

Sythe connects to Instagram through the Meta Platform API. We access Instagram messages and user data only for accounts that have explicitly connected to Sythe and authorized the required permissions. We comply with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We do not sell Instagram data, share it with third parties outside the scope of delivering our service, or use it for advertising purposes.

Data Storage and Retention

Conversation data and lead information are stored in encrypted cloud databases. Lead records are retained for as long as the coach account is active. Coaches can delete individual leads or request full data deletion at any time by contacting us.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the fitness coach whose Instagram account you messaged, and with infrastructure providers (database, hosting) necessary to operate the service. These providers are bound by data processing agreements.

Your Rights

• Request access to any data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data at any time
• Opt out of further contact by ceasing to message the connected Instagram account
• For EU/UK residents: rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to object to processing

Data Deletion

You may request deletion of all data we hold about you at any time by contacting privacy@sythe.site. We also support Meta's automated data deletion callback, which allows you to request deletion directly through your Facebook or Instagram account settings. Deletion requests are processed immediately and all associated conversation data, lead records, and profile information are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

Third-Party AI Processing

Messages sent to Sythe-connected Instagram accounts are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI for the purpose of lead qualification. This processing is performed under Anthropic's commercial API terms, which prohibit the use of customer data for model training. Message content is transmitted securely and is not retained by Anthropic beyond the scope of generating a response.

Children's Privacy

Sythe is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@sythe.site.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Access to lead data is restricted to authenticated coach accounts. We do not store Instagram passwords or long-term user tokens beyond what is necessary to maintain the integration.
